Department of Health and Social Studies
The Department teaches the following degrees:
- Coordination of Rehabilitation and Long-Term Health and Social Care (2-year Master’s degree, either full-time or part-distance studies)
- Full-time studies
- Combined-form (i.e. part-distance) studies
- Health Care-Social Work (3-year Bachelor’s degree, full-time studies)
- Full-time studies
- Community Development (3-year Bachelor’s degree, either full-time or part-distance studies)
- Full-time studies
- Combined-form (i.e. part-distance) studies
The multidisciplinary team at the Department of Health and Social Studies represents a broad range of disciplines and research interests. Research at the Department focuses on social sciences disciplines with a particular emphasis on sociology, social science research methodology, and health care/social work-related issues.
The Department is involved in the Erasmus+ programme, regularly hosting lecturers from abroad; Department staff also travel to partner universities to lecture there. Students can take part in study stays abroad via the Erasmus+ programme, and the Department also hosts students from abroad.
