Social Work (full-time or part-distance form)
As a graduate, you can find employment in state and local governmental organisations (areas of social and legal protection of children, care of citizens with disabilities, probation and mediation services, etc.), including in advisory and acting bodies of city and/or regional councils, as social workers at the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, in employment offices, as social workers in non-state non-profit, and church organisations, as social workers in other organisations providing social services, in the services of the Police of the Czech Republic, the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, and in private legal institutions; after training, as middle managers in all organisations providing or coordinating social services.
The three-year Bachelor’s degree programme Social Work prepares students for entry into social work practice, possibly for the two-year Follow-up Master’s degree programme Social Work, which is available in three specialisations (Family Social Work, Development and Management in Social Work, and Social Work and Criminology) or in the two-year Follow-up Master’s degree programme Social Work and Social Entrepreneurship, which is implemented as a Joint Degree programme.
The degree can be studied in full-time or part-distance form.
