Child Care Centre Domeček
Who are we, and with whom do we work?
Child Care Centre Domeček is a state-funded institution organized under the Municipal Authority of the City of Ostrava offering its services since 1930.
According to the Act on Health Care Services No. 372/2011 Coll., Domeček provides health services and support to children up to 3 years of age who cannot be raised in their family environment, especially children who are abused, neglected, or otherwise vulnerable due to an unsuitable social environment, as well as children with disabilities. Children and sometimes their mothers stay in Domeček on the basis of an interlocutory injunction awarded by the court ordering institutional care. Another option for the placement is the conclusion of an agreement with a legal representative.
What do we offer to our clients?

- Comprehensive interdisciplinary care (health care, nursing, rehabilitation, educational, and social care)
- Diagnostics and treatment of children at risk
- Respite and relief care
- Cooperation with Renarkon centre as part of the “New Beginnings” program, which allows female drug users to stay together with their children
- Training stay of mothers to be able to care for a child, including for a disabled child;
