In their Master's thesis, which deals with a topic from the field of Inclusion Studies, students acquire the skills required for academic research work. They are able to develop their own research question and work on it independently using academic methods, as well as presenting their findings in a structured and reflective manner. Both empirical and literature-based theses are possible
An integral part of the course is the personal defence of the master's thesis before an academic committee at one of the partner universities. During the defence, students are required to present their research, justify their methodological choices, interpret their findings, and respond to critical questions. The defence verifies not only the quality of the written thesis but also the student's ability to communicate and defend their conclusions clearly and professionally.
The written thesis must include independently conducted research or a practical project. Students are expected to clearly formulate the research problem, research questions, and research strategy, select appropriate research methods, and relate their results to the relevant field of Inclusion Studies.
The topics are limited to the field of Inclusion Studies or related disciplines, and students must demonstrate the applicability of their findings to Inclusion Studies theory and practice.
