The research colloquium is intended to support students in designing an appropriate thesis and, if necessary, implementing it within the framework of empirical research.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Formulate a socially relevant research problem and suitable research questions/hypotheses.
- Design an appropriate research methodology.
- Develop instruments for data collection: interview guides, questionnaires, observation protocols.
- Critically examine ethical considerations in social sciences research.
- Present and defend the research design through seminar discussions and peer review
