The Dean of the Faculty of Social Studies of the University of Ostrava announces a selection procedure for filling the position of
- Researcher junior WP 5.1 – FSS in the project "Biography of Fake News with a Touch of AI: Dangerous Phenomenon through the Prism of Modern Human Sciences"
The above mentioned position is to be filled within the framework of the project "Biography of Fake News with a Touch of AI: Dangerous Phenomenon through the Prism of Modern Human Sciences" (reg. no. CZ.02.01.01/00/23_025/0008724), research topic No. 5.1: Developing social work interventions by uncovering the dynamics of information mechanisms of information behavior in segregated neighborhoods.

- 0.3 FTE (or by agreement)
Employment contract
- Fixed-term, i.e. until 28 February 2026 (with an expected extension for the duration of the project)

Qualifications and other requirements
- Ph.D. student in the field of Social Work or related (as of the date of enrolment in the first year of Ph.D. studies), or researcher who is no more than 7 years past the date of award of his/her academic degree of Ph.D. (as of the date of the dissertation defense), or its equivalent (ISCED level 8 equivalent);
- English B2;
- EU research level: R1 (for the systematized post of Researcher I) or R2 - Recognized (for the systematized post of Researcher II).
Job description
- research implementation in the field of data collection and analysis, preparation and transcription of in-depth interviews, checking of transcripts, processing of image documents,
- contributing to publications.

The first round of the selection procedure will involve the assessment of the materials submitted by the candidates.
The Dean of the Faculty of Social Studies reserves the right to invite only selected applicants to interview. She also reserves the right not to select any candidate. The selection procedure may be shortened, cancelled or repeated at the initiative of the Dean of the Faculty.
