The aim of the course is to develop students´ understanding of social work within the criminal justice system, including its theoretical foundations and practical applications. The course seeks to enhance students? ability to critically analyse criminal justice approaches and their implications for social work practice with victims, offenders and juvenile offenders in various settings. Students are guided to reflect on contemporary developments, evaluate the possibilities and limitations of social work in criminal justice, and strengthen their professional competence for evidence-informed and socially responsible practice.
